Our Partnership with
Testicular Cancer UK
Looking after what’s beneath the belt
At The Badgers Den, we believe in more than treatments, haircuts and relaxed vibes. We believe in looking after all of you… top to bottom.
That’s why we’re proud to partner with Testicular Cancer UK, the UK charity built by men for men, dedicated to raising awareness of testicular cancer, encouraging self-checks, and offering support when it’s needed.
WHY THIS
MATTERS
- Every year, around 2,400 men in the UK are diagnosed with testicular cancer.
- It is the most common cancer in men aged 15 - 44.
- When caught early, it’s one of the most treatable cancers, and survival rates are incredibly high.
- Yet many men don’t check or talk about it, and that’s where we want to step in.
About Testicular Cancer UK
Founded by Phil Morris MBE, a former soldier, two-time survivor of testicular cancer, and advocate for men’s health,
Testicular Cancer UK started as a simple peer support website(“Check ’Em Lads”) and has grown into a full-fledged charity delivering awareness, education, and support nationwide.
If something doesn’t feel right for you, get it checked.
Talk about it… with mates, with family, with your barber. Break the silence.
Support each other… encourage your friends and brother-mates to do the same.
WHAT THEY
DO
- Provide free, confidential support and advice for men and their families navigating testicular cancer.
- Deliver educational talks in schools, workplaces, and military bases to normalise the conversation.
- Host high-quality, step-by-step video guides on how to self-check.
- Promote early detection and empower men to know what’s normal for them.
WHAT YOU
CAN DO
- Do it monthly (ideally after a warm shower or bath).
- Roll each testicle gently between thumb and fingers; look out for lumps, changes in size or shape, hardness or swelling.
- If something doesn’t feel right for you, get it checked.
WHY WE'RE
INVOLVED
We’re more than just a grooming destination. We’re part of a community of men who look after one another.
Partnering with Testicular Cancer UK allows us to bring voice, attention and action to something too often ignored.
It’s simple… you take care of the rest of you, we’ll make sure you never forget what’s beneath the belt.
